  • ‘HAZARD CAN WIN BALLON D’OR AT CHELSEA’

‘HAZARD CAN WIN BALLON D’OR AT CHELSEA’ Maurizio Sarri says Eden Hazard does not need a move to Spain to get trophies and can win "everything" if he stays at Chelsea. Hazard suggested last week he may have to leave Stamford Bridge for La Liga to fulfil his ambition of winning the Ballon d'Or, given the last ten winners have all been based in Spain. The 27-year-old also said he is torn about renewing his contract at Chelsea - which expires in 2020 - or achieving his childhood dream of moving to Real Madrid. When asked about Hazard's future, Sarri said: "It will be very important for us if he remains. I think also that he can win everything, also the Ballon d'Or, here. For example, if Chelsea will be able to win the Champions League and the Belgium national team will be able to win the European cup (Championships), he will be able to win everything - without playing in Spain."

  • ‘NO PLANS TO RE-SIGN NEYMAR’

‘NO PLANS TO RE-SIGN NEYMAR’ Barcelona have no plans to re-sign Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain, the club's vice-president Jordi Cardoner has said, dismissing media reports they were ready to tempt the Brazil forward back to the Nou Camp. Neymar won two La Liga titles and the 2015 Champions League over four years at Barcelona and formed a lethal partnership with Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi. He left in July 2017 after the PSG exercised his release clause - paying a world record fee of £198m - but Barcelona have ruled out a return for Neymar. "No one on the Barca board has talked about the possibility of bringing back Neymar, right now we can't give an answer because no one has even mentioned it," Cardoner told radio station SER Catalunya on Friday. • CHRISTENSEN COULD ASK TO LEAVE

CHRISTENSEN COULD ASK TO LEAVEChelsea defender Andreas Christensen will ask to leave the club in January if he is not playing regular football by Christmas. The 22-year-old is yet to make a Premier League appearance this season, with Maurizio Sarri only utilising him in both of Chelsea's Europa League outings and their Carabao Cup win over Liverpool. Christensen made 40 appearances for the Stamford Bridge side last season after two successful seasons on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach. However, he has found himself behind Antonio Rudiger and David Luiz this term. In an interview with TV3 Sport Denmark, his father and agent, Sten, said Sarri had told Christensen, who had a break in the summer after playing at the World Cup for Denmark, that Rudiger and Luiz would be his preferred pairing at the back. Sten believes it may be time for his son to move on permanently if his situation does not change. He said: "If his situation doesn't change by Christmas, we'll have a chat with Chelsea and say, 'okay, what can we do for him? Could he play somewhere else?' I'm not thinking another loan. It's Chelsea or else he has to find another club. A loan spell would not be the best solution for Andreas. It's one or the other. Too many of Chelsea's players go out on loan when they don't need them. Andreas should not get stuck in that. "I believe that we will try to relocate Andreas come winter, if nothing has happened by Christmas, if he is not playing. But I'm not sure Chelsea will let him go. That is maybe not a problem as Chelsea are a fantastic club and Andreas loves London. But he is not happy with his situation on the pitch."
