2001: The

Mendieta's strike came in the 2001 title decider, known as the “All-penalty final”. Mehmet Scholl had a spot kick saved five minutes later before Stefan Effenberg's equaliser early in the second half, also a penalty. It was, of course, decided in a shoot-out, Bayern winning 5-4 in sudden death.
